We ordered two Chicken Parms for lunch today that were unrecognizable to the ones from February. Pros Convenience Cleanliness: unchanged, still very much the same shop. Service: though no Trish, the lady serving us was nice, made the sandwiches quickly, and was generally welcoming. Bread Sauce: both were good, maybe even the same as last time. Updated Cons Chicken: was in the form of tough, un breaded cubes. It was very different from the tender breaded breasts of last time. Cheese: some sort of white cheese squares reminiscent of kraft singles. The previous sandwiches included both shredded mozzarella and parmesan (added with lots of fanfare from Trish). We'd be happy to pay more for the original sandwich. Unfortunately the current sandwiches won't be bringing us back anytime soon.
My husband and I have gotten take out here twice in the last two days, and both times it's been delicious! Yesterday we had a chicken parm sub and a meatball sub, both of which were enormous, steaming hot, and gooey with cheese and sauce. Tonight we had bacon cheeseburgers with fries that were totally legit. We've tried the whoopie pies and chocolate chip cookies, both of which were extremely moist and full of delicious butter : Yesterday morning the coffee was fresh and tasty. The prices are extremely reasonable. And to top it off, Trish is a total sweetheart, and prepares the food super fast. Needless to say, we'll be back...maybe tomorrow :
A superb local village deli, which celebrates unique and individual food choices. Fresh breaded sandwiches, quality meat, salads, soups and pizza. Ed, the owner is passionate about his foods and attentive to the customer's choices. Freshness, taste and variety are the things that make me want to return there soon.
Great pizza and salad
Great staff but the breakfast pizza needs work
