Good coffee and milk shakes. The coffee had a cat face in the froth.....gorgeous.Unfortunately the council was doing some work in the area around Lexies when I was there and direct access to the beach was blocked. It was easy to see why my friends come here.
We stayed next door at the Stockton Beach Holiday Park and had breakfast at Lexie's each day.The bacon, egg, cheese with BBQ sauce on Sourdough were absolutely the best.Plenty of bacon, egg and just made beautifully each day. The coffee was fresh, hot and had a great taste - made with fresh beans and proper attention. The Staff were so friendly and inviting, you could tell it was a popular stop for the locals as the staff knew their names and had that friendly banter.Well done Lexie's - a top little place to eat and highly recommended.
Dined here for breakfast on a Sunday Morning & was very happy with our experience. Situated right on the beach at Stockton the view is spectacular. We were lucky enough to claim a table nearest the water. You order at the counter & there's a lot of affordable options, I had the bacon & eggs scrambled (your choice of eggs) with a side of avocado, simple but so delicious & plentiful, perfect eggs & crispy bacon seems easy but I've paid a lot more for worse & less! My kids designed there own breaky & the Chefs plated it up like a smiley face which made them laugh. I was envious of the corn fritters meal at the table next to us, looked awesome as did the bruschetta, & the benedict (real hollandaise sauce people's wow)Chef delivered our food herself, wow. Can't wait to try the Corn Fritters! 10/10
We were a large group of about 12 & arrived for breakfast without booking. We were lucky that they had room for us all. The menu was varied, seating quite comfortable & food was delicious. More like a beach shack than a cafe, the place is not flash, but we all enjoyed our breaking & the staff coped well with a large group.
Had two breakfast/ brunch visits to Lexies whilst on a recent holiday in Newcastle. Yet again, this had been recommended and very easy to see why it is so popular. On our first visit, we all had the 'toasties' which were fantastic and tasted and looked the way a quality toasted sandwich should be!The same standard for a return visit and I had one of the best egg and bacon rolls you would ever want to try. Delicious crisp bacon with a perfectly cooked egg. Even the simplest of fare if presented and cooked with some care will bring people back time and time again.Lexies is a humble beachside cafe with plastic tables and chairs and really is no frills dining. What is does do very well is serve traditional cafe food we all grew up with and love. I am going back if we visit the Newcastle area again. You will be hard pressed to find better toasties & egg & bacon rolls anywhere. Lexies on the Beach is a winner !!!!
