The Food Emporium - New York

This place is on its last legs.One of the escalators hasn't worked for months, the shelves are either empty or barely stocked, the ceiling is caving in, and now the heat seems to have been turned off.

Watch out for mice! YES. In a grocery store. This neighborhood is quite well off and surrounded by residential yet this store is DECREPIT. I only run in when I desperately need something. Aside from high prices, it is filthy. And yes, I saw a mouse…which is something you just do not want to see. This space needs to be shut down or massively overhauled. Just bad.

This is my primary grocery store. Their produce is always fresh and prices better than others.

Clean supermarket. It was a bit confusing trying to locate the escalator to the basement where the actual supermarket goods are..but...the staff was friendly and helpful

Continued to go here despite target and morton Williams because it felt more organized and easier than the alternative but staff was at best unhelpful and at worst rude in the few situations where I actually needed help. I see little reason to return now especially considering prices
