They have a very wide selection of cold Sake, highly recommend getting a bottle, although it will cost you around $75 for the average bottle. Keep in mind that what you see on the menu is not everything that 's available. You can mix and match usual sushi and roll combinations, and there 's also a 'secret ' sushi menu for more interesting one pieces. The fatty tuna cost $7 a piece when we were there. Whole dinner cost about $400 for 4 people including tip with one bottle of Sake. It 's a good spot, but just seems to be very expensive. There were no 'showstoppers ' or visual effects like putting anything on fire etc. They didn 't have crispy rice or even a vegetable gyoza. They should work on appealing more to the vegan and kosher crowd.
Came here on the eve of my birthday for the Omakase. What an amazing experience. There was some pretty out of the box sushi served and not a single one was a disappointment. Pricewise was in the mid range.
Personally this is my favorite sushi spot in NYC. I ordered the Sushi dinner and my partner ordered the seki special. Both great choices if you want variety. Omakase is also very good here. This location offers indoor and outdoor dining. As of right now the restaurant is not requiring proof of vax. I recommend you make a reservation as it is quite popular.
Fantastic meal and sakes. Omakase was a great value and delicious
Absolutely delicious omakase for a pretty penny. They do open omakase so it keeps going until you ask for it to close off. If you have a budget, you can estimate at about $40 per plate round. We came here for our anniversary dinner and was pleasantly blown away. Every piece of fish we had was really interesting and incredibly tasty. The fatty tuna melts without needing to chew in your mouth, the oyster was just the right amount of brininess that my partner who usually dislikes oysters was happy with the flavour while I love a very strong oyster which this hit the right spot for. Their sautéed tomatoes compliments the other dishes very well, the scallop is very tender with the right amount of salt and lemon, and my favourite might’ve been then tofu sushi with tuna and tofu sauce! Overall it was quite crowded for a Friday night at 7pm and the area inside the restaurant is quite small. Consider coming earlier or calling to make a reservation ahead of time.
