Sahara's Turkish Cuisine - New York

This is my go-to lunch destination on the rare occasions I have to show up at the office. Good food selection on the lunch menu and everything is consistently delicious. At this point, I have gone through most of the menu and I have never been disappointed. The lentil soup and the salmon are particular favorites.

Sahara's is a moderately priced neighborhood Turkish restaurant that offers high quality food in a pleasant setting. A large percentage of its business must be from take out, as it rarely appears crowded. This benefits those of us who dine in, by attentive service. Last Saturday, I brought a group of elderly women from my apartment building to Sahara's. They were picky eaters, unfamiliar with Turkish food, and couldn't figure out what to order. I thought the evening was going to be a disaster! The waitress patiently explained the menu, accommodated their needs and retained her composure. I credit her along with the good food for our evening's success.

Very good taste. I dont eat adana kabab but this time I tried Chicken and was so good and flavorful. Chicken shish and chops were also very good.

Love coming here. Food is excellent, always fresh and delicious. The restaurant is always clean and the staff and management are very nice and attentive. My favorite Turkish restaurant. I have never had a bad experience here. From appetizers to dessert , everything is always great.

Sahara restaurant is a great restaurant with its location and authentic atmosphere. I feel like I am in Turkey with its food, music, decor and hospitality. It is an excellent restaurant with its friendly staff, fast service and large portion foods!
