Such an absolutely exceptional gem of a restaurant. Have been a number of times and it always hits. From the staff to the atmosphere and of course all the food. We always bring out of town visitors. So lucky to have them in the neighborhood

This place is a gem! Every dish is delicious and the staff is so friendly. You have to try the Max meat sauce!!! Always a great choice :

Neighbor gem in Tribeca! Top-notch food with friendly staff who make you feel like friends no matter where you are from. We loved the Fettuccine with Max’s meat sauce, Spaghetti with clams, and mushroom ravioli in addition to the Tartufo for dessert. Although we live in Williamsburg (Brooklyn), we’ll definitely be back for dinner at Max’s!

Lasagna was dry. Caesar salad was expensive and not a true Caesar salad with sardines in dressing. Pasta was not Al dente and cooked way too long. It was mushy. Owner was there and didn’t even stop by table even though we told the server issues. there were only 4 tables occupied.

Fabulous no frills dishes. loved it, outdoor seating was 4 star. great service fresh ingredients
