Ordered a Cubano sandwich, Octopus Salad and a couple beers. The sandwich was the star and I recommend it. The ham is perfectly balanced with the cheeses and pickles. The bread is on the thinner side, but I prefer it because it didn't overwhelm the main ingredients. The Octopus Salad was okay, kinda wish I had ordered the catfish soup instead. The sides of beans and rice were good, the beans were almost smokey. The beer was called Presidente and it was light and easy to drink, complimented the food well. The lady who took our order had been working there for 50 years! She was super sweet and I'm happy I could support her business.
This restaurant was fantastic! The Cuban sandwich was amazing. The layout was a bit confusing though - customers should head towards the back of the restaurant to start the line.
This restaurant is an incredible find with delicious Cuban sandwiches! It has a classic atmosphere and the Cubano sandwich I had was phenomenal. I also ordered the fried plantains with black beans and rice which were super tasty, although I wish they had put more plantains on the plate. This place is a great way to start the day and even better than a New York City bagel in my opinion!
The chicken was dry and I couldn't even finish it. They should have offered some lime or seasoning to help improve the flavor. If they were out of green plantains, they should have mentioned that instead of sending an unwanted substitution.
The rice and beans were passable, but the sandwich was flattened and poorly wrapped. Overall, the food was below average.
