One thing I really liked about King Dumpling is that they sell their pork and pumpkin dumplings fresh and ready to go. I tried them at the restaurant and they were delicious - hot, juicy, and perfectly fried. The prices were very reasonable, with ten dumplings for only $3.50, which is a great deal. All the items on the menu were under ten dollars, which is a rare find in today's restaurant scene. The owner of the restaurant was also very friendly.
The restaurant offers good value for money, but it didn't amaze me. It seems popular because you can get a lot for just a few dollars. However, when I visited, they were almost sold out of everything and the payment process was disorganized. I tried the 10 dumplings for $4 and they were fresh and hot. There are limited seating options inside as the space is quite small.
If you're looking for something delicious, filling, quick, and affordable, this is the place to be. You can get 10 pork fried dumplings for about $3.50. The sesame pancake is more like a piece of bread. However, on a couple of occasions they were out of fried rolls during lunchtime and in the evening. Update: 5/22 - they now have freshly cooked fried pork buns and pork dumplings! The dumplings were average but tasted good because they were freshly made. I was expecting a fluffy pork filling with a crispy exterior, but they were more like an empty, doughy bread with a soft filling. The fried dumpling skins are clearly handmade, making them thicker and more flavorful than store-bought ones. While I prefer a lighter and crispier dumpling in general, these were still tasty, especially when fresh. Overall, I would still give them a 4-star rating.
This restaurant is a great place to grab some delicious fried dumplings and buns at a very affordable price! For under $10, you can get 10 chive and pork dumplings, 4 fried buns, and a beverage. The dumplings had a crispy golden crust on the bottom and were juicy when eaten hot. The fried pork buns were so hot they were steaming in their plastic container. Adding a bit of soy sauce and hot sauce would have made them even better. These items are the top two on the menu and are must-try dishes if you stop by for a meal.
I spent $14 in total on my meal and felt like royalty. These were some of the best dumplings I've ever had. I also indulged in the duck pancake, which was absolutely amazing. The sesame pancake was also delicious. My only complaint is that there wasn't enough duck in the pancake - there were only a few small pieces. I highly recommend this hidden gem for its affordable prices and wide variety of options.
