Jun-men Ramen - New York

Love this ramen bar! I was fortunate enough to discover it by way of MealPal. The space is cozy and gets quite a few patrons but never feels cramped. Their menu isn't very large but everything I've ever tried has been delicious especially the pork bone ramen, kimchi ramen and BBQ pork buns. They also have amazing sake and beer. The service is second to none. We didn't have to ask for water once. They kept on top of everything and couldn't do enough for us. Very friendly people.

We accidentally found this off-the-beaten-path ramen shop. What a great accident! Kim chi ramen, pork bone ramen, wings and shiitake mushroom steamed bun were to die for. And if you ever thought fried rice was 'just fried rice, ' think again. Even the fried rice was out of this world. Served with a sunny side egg on top, the taste had an unusual and exotic tinge that made all the difference. Even the texture of the rice was perfect (and for those who know rice, perfectly rice is NOT that easy). The ramen noodles were equally perfect in texture. Even the serving temperature was exact. I wish I could remember our server 's name. She was a Korean woman who shares my love of kim chi. She stopped to give us local tips even during a very busy lunch hour. She gave us great lunch suggestions and she was spot on with her taste. Behind this restaurant lurks a perfectionist who is also an artist! This place gets a well-deserved (and very rare) 5 stars from me. Bravo!

The pork bone broth is killer! Some of the best ramen broth I've had. Noodles were nothing particularly special but overall an excellent bowl. Nice selection of Japanese beers too. Highly recommend.

Delicious ramen! This place spoiled me forever; the ramen has depths of flavor that is yummy!
