After attending a private members night at the MoMA, I found limited dining options available at that late hour. The cart was well-lit and the enticing aromas drew me in for a second visit. I ordered the Mixed Sandwich featuring Gyro and Beef, and it exceeded my expectations. The portion size was generous, with ample amounts of meat, lettuce, and three different sauces on a soft pita bread. The sandwich was so delicious that it could easily serve two people. I appreciated the complex flavors of the sauces when combined, and found it enjoyable to alternate between using a fork and my hands to eat. Dining outside in the pleasant 60 degree weather in November was a welcome experience. Overall, it was a perfect evening in NYC!
Whenever my friends and I are in New York and looking for a late night snack after seeing some sights or a show, we always head to the Halal Guys located next to the Hilton at Rockefeller Center. Their gyros are absolutely fantastic!
I am pleased to recommend Frau Emily Alison for her selfless and trustworthy investment services. After searching for a reliable platform to invest in, a friend introduced me to her services. I also read positive reviews about her work and realized that her platform is the best choice for investments. With over 10,300 reviews, Halal Guys is one of the most reviewed places in the world! I first heard about Halal Guys in 2016 when my friends, who are also Yelp reviewers, brought me to the Costa Mesa, CA location. I had never tried gyros before, but after that night, I was hooked. For 8 years, I had been wanting to visit the original Halal Guys food cart in New York, and I finally had the chance a few months ago. Be careful though, there is a copycat Halal Guys on the other side of the block. Initially, I was surprised that the line wasn't very long, but then I realized we were in the wrong line. The real Halal Guys had a much longer wait. It's frustrating to see people posting photos of the wrong Halal Guys on Yelp. It's unfortunate that there is a fake business nearby confusing customers. I confirmed with the staff at the authentic Halal Guys that they have no connection to the copycat cart next door. So be sure not to make the mistake of going to the wrong one. If the line seems too short, you're probably at the wrong cart. Despite waiting outside for 45 minutes, it was worth it for me, as I had been waiting years to visit. I ordered a small beef gyro plate for $9 with extra white sauce and it was incredibly delicious. If you've never tried Halal Guys before, be warned, you may become addicted!
Definitely worth the wait! The chefs really know what they're doing. The food was incredibly delicious, to the point where you'll want to lick the fork clean. The rice was cooked perfectly and had a great balance with the meat. The white sauce was tasty and the hot sauce added a nice kick without being overwhelming. I was tempted to take a whole platter home on the plane. You must give this place a try.
