El Maguey Y La Tuna - New York

The food is fresh and tasty. I love it! The service is amazing, very accommodating.. First time I came in the owner asked me out of the blue if the room temperature was OK. I have never seen such consideration in a restaurant in New York City. The food is seasoned to perfection and the people who run El Maguey Y La Tuna are really, really nice. I really love this place!

I have celebrated many birthdays and special occasions here with Maria and her fantastic team. The food is incredible, authentic and affordable. As a longtime patron and friend of El Magiey, it is refreshing the have a neighborhood spot that knows the community and greets you like you’re family. The newer establishments do not compare in service or quality. My wish is that we save this special place for as long as possible and spare them the insane rent hikes that are not only destroying small family owned businesses of New York, but they are destroying the culture of this city. My love to Maria and the El Maguey family.

Finally found an amazing authentic Mexican food place in NYC! Friendly staff and service! I had the mole enchiladas, reminded me of my moms.
