Thinking it was some sort of pharmacy or doctor's office, it is more of a bar than a restaurant. It has seating outside and inside. As you go in, you will see the gentlemen working behind the counters, wearing white lab coats like doctors. The staff are super friendly and comical. They offer you nuts to eat, water, and recommendations from their menu. The bar's decor inside is very nice. They have a huge painting on the wall of the bar. We all ordered only beers, as we wanted to wine down a little bit and take a breather from so much walking. And we also used their restrooms which are clean. After, they were so kind as to help us when we asked for directions to our next stop. I definitely recommend this nice bar the next time you are in the area. It is kind of hidden but you can't miss it with their name. I really want to go back and try one of their liquors.
We stumbled upon this cafe on the way to the Residenz. Right as we walked in, we were greeted by a cheery waitress. She answered all our questions and continually checked on us, even anticipating our needs at points, which is unlike service at most...other European restaurants where we ate on our week journey. We had drinks, so much homemade bread she kindly kept bringing us more, potato cream soup with pastrami slivers and a roast beef sandwich with horseradish. I think I spotted a tear of joy when my husband took his first bite of the sandwich, he enjoyed the taste so much. They speak English, have menu descriptions in English and take cash and cards. We’d definitely go back
Cozy and central place for having a drink in the sun highly recommend: Gamsal special homemade drink It's not a place for families or having dinner but for drinks it's excellent
We enjoyed a couple of delicious house aperitifs in this charming cafe near U Odeonsplatz. We were exhausted after a day's sightseeing, and we were welcomed by friendly English speaking staff. The soup was delicious too
