The Rialto is located in the Leopoldstr. and there is still one or other really car driving past, which even enthuses me as a woman and no car falls in joy. To the café: decor and atmosphere cool, tight, loud and modern the table dirty. Self-service on a very narrow counter. You are constantly temperature-controlled when you wait. Coffee is more than disappointing. Dry, light fat and so overload with powder sugar that we have scratched, even my son, who can only feed on sugar. The service behind the counter more than just unfriendly and also the boy who prepared the coffee did not seem with courtesy. There are much better cafés in Munich. Don't!
I had a cappuccino veggie pizza which was good. Nice but other bakery at the subway were nice too.
The breakfast is fair but far from excellent and staff members appears rather annoyed about guests. running out of croissants in a cafe is strange but obviously not to be worth mentioned by the waitress. instead they just serve something different than ordered and act...surprised when being asked why.
We stumbled across this after arriving at Giselastrasse from Marienplatz) on the way to the English Garden. It is along Leopoldstrasse above Franz-Josef Strasse and though there are several restaurants and cafes nearby it is worth seeking this one out, it is passed Starbucks,...but with a word of warning forget about your waistline!! the portions of cake/pastries are quite generous'. It is very popular and the staff are welcoming.
