First time here and so glad to find this hidden gem in Moorpark. Its hard to find a great Mediterranean restaurant and this hits the spot! Ordered the chicken with bone-in (Cornish hen) combination. Chose the hummus and Tabbouleh salad as my sides. It was served with pita and rice. They also include a packet of sumac to sprinkle on top of the meat. This is a must try, it adds so much more taste! Pro tip from the owner, the sumac aids in meat digestion. BTW I've posted the updated menu
Hands down my favorite restaurant in Moorpark! My family and I first discovered Moorpark Kabob back in November 2020 and have been coming ever since. We love Mediterranean, Persian and Middle Eastern food so it was great to find this place. How I've not written a review until now befuddles me, but we typically go every other week it seems. The quality, quantity and consistency is unparalleled here. I've tried the Chicken Shish Kabob, Beef Koobideh Kabob, Chicken Koobideh Kabob, Boneless Lamb Kabob, Beef Shish Kabob and the Beef Naderi. Our favorite has become the Beef Naderi as THE go-to with Tabbouleh and Hummus. What makes Moorpark Kabob Kitchen so unbelievably delicious and great, is the quality every time and the quantity. It's always very filling no matter how hungry you might be. Seriously the consistency is so great and a rare thing you see in restaurants nowadays. A true treasure and an absolute asset to the restaurant community. I feel like family coming here. Restaurants like this is why you order food. Every bite feels like a bit of heaven. The secret ingredient is LOVE. I know that sounds cliche, but you can feel and taste the love with every bite. Everything is homemade and you can clearly tell. Their hummus is so good and way better than the Sabre you buy in the store. If I have pretzels at home I definitely make a point to go with a large order of hummus to enjoy over the next few days. However, their mouthwatering Baklava is a true game changer! Even people who don't like desserts who've tried it, like my girlfriend, have said WOW and got hooked! They're crazy addictive. Overall, this place is a must visit and well worth a trek out if you don't live in Moorpark. If I didn't live close by I would absolutely make a trip out of my way to visit this place. It's seriously such an unbelievably great restaurant. Check it out Heads up- Closed Sunday's and Monday's
I miss this restaurant every single day!! Please come back Jenny I miss you! I have tried so many other mediterranean restaurants to make up for how much I miss this place and nothing delivers like Moorpark Kabob Kitchen. Everything is so tasty and fresh and amazing. Best falafel and hummus I've ever had!! I saw on facebook that they posted in April that they would be coming back soon, I am waiting to be the first person through the door honestly.
I used to drive all the way from valley to moorpark just to eat at this place. The best kabob I've ever eaten!!! I miss this place and the beautiful lady who would smile and greet all the guests . I wish they reopen this place! If anyone have any information about a new location, please share!
