O'charley's Restaurant Bar - Monroe

Too bad that we've lost what used to be a good casual dining restaurant in Monroe. The last 3 times I've eaten from this location, the service and food quality has been abysmal. It's just progressively become worse and worse and management seems annoyed/upset by you expressing reasonable concerns. My last time dining in, it wasn't even busy. My sister and I were one of perhaps 4 or 5 parties in the whole restaurant; yet, we weren't asked if we needed refills until moments before we were ready to leave. The food was brought to the table cold, incorrect, and contaminated with other food we didn't even order. I ordered a soup as an appetizer and it was so cold that the cheese didn't even melt in it. When we mentioned our concerns to management, he was very obviously annoyed and had an offensive attitude. Despite his obvious disregard of us mere pests causing HIM inconvenience by receiving bad service and food from HIS restaurant, he offered to compensate by giving me a free dessert; blackberry cobbler. I was so excited for the dessert because up to then I had eaten nothing other than bread given that the food was so terrible. Unfortunately, I was met with great disappointment, as the blackberry cobbler arrived raw with stretchy, white dough all throughout. Yum?

The food was very good. Had the $14.99 special of grilled chicken and cod. We were not in a while and we knew they had a free cake on Wed and asked, but they don't do that anymore. After I was paid and ready to leave, I saw a paper stand that said they offer bully for $1.99 on Wed. Our waitress trained another one and they were good, but it would have been nice if she had picked up our question about the cake and suggested the waiter. All three of us would probably have ordered it. They could not make much of this offer, but they would have won points for future visits.

Great location and price for the meal, it?s good food and clean. Portions at the Monroe location are very small. Location in Concord was better. LOVE THE YEAST ROLLS!!!!!

Liz was such a great server. She was genuine and very attentive to our needs. Our drinks were never half empty and our food came out quick! Highly recommend the honey drizzled southern fried chicken and the loaded potato soup!

I can?t give a ZERO. Horrible experience for a take out order 3/27/22 @1729 hrs, order 248715. Rolls were raw and did not rise. The worst restaurant experience I had ever had in the container with the rice pilaf was a balled up, singed looking plastic foreign body. It was partially covered by the pilaf this was huge no way this was not visible to whom ever prepared this! The container also had red and green flecks of something in the bottom not clean. We were sold garbage. Of course with punched up plastic Saran, glove , eat in customer discard my husband could not eat any of the meal. The manager on duty requested the pictures and offered a refund of the purchase price of $25, like that would make us whole! Emotionally traumatizing, major disappointment. Monroe O? Charley?s have been slipping and sliding downwards for over a year but today they hit an all time unrecoverable low.
