As a break in our travels we had looked up this cafe for brunch. Cosy and filled with the smells of home cooking, we ordered soup.Huge steamy hot bowls of soup with chunky pieces of bread were both yummy and filling and brought back memories of Mum’s home cooking. Plenty of up-to -date mags and papers to read. Neat tidy and as it says, friendly
Dropped in on a freezing morning to find half the town was taking shelter from the wind. And no surprise - the coffee was excellent and staff very amiable and helpful. I didn't eat but spied some great looking, great smelling food going down. You can see the lake from your table inside and the seating outside would be even better on a warm day. Recommended!!
Had a nice bacon and eggs breakie and cup of tea. Friendly staff, obviously popular with locals. I couldn't see a lot else around though there is a bakery just behind as well.
We (2 couples from California) stopped for refreshments and touring help. Great cafe. Best of all were Adam's suggestions and directions (drew maps) to explore nearby Coorong National Park and to find kangaroos which we would not have found otherwise. He's wonderfully helpful and a genuinely great guy. The gal behind the counter was also very nice and helpful. Great experience and highly recommend this little oasis. A trip highlight for sure.
