Meningie Bakery

Called in here to get a coffee and some lunch. The food was great, very tasty pastries. My elderly friend wanted a pasty and I had to asked her what sort, as there were 4 different types. Before she could answer the young girl had put one in a bag and made it very obvious she didn't want to change it. My friend knew this girl wasnt happy so just took what she had put in the bag. This young lady was rude and abrupt and as it was a thursday I assume she works there full time. The older lady that served me was fine but didn't seem to want to get involved with what the young girl was doing. This is why so many young people cant get jobs. They don't want one.

Stopped here for lunch between Adelaide and Kingston SE. What a lovely bakery. The staff were very helpful. The selection of food was good and everything was served hot. The hot drinks were delicious.

We read about the Meningie Bakery on TripAvisor and so were looking out for it on our drive from Robe to Adelaide. In the end we only just got there before 5pm when it was closing (set back from the road on the opposite side from the lake). We each bought a cake, and then were given 4 pies for free! They were hot and smelt so delicious that we couldn't resist, and walked aver to the lakeside and ate them straight away. Absolutely wonderful! Pastry was just the right combination of crispy and moist, and the fillings were generous and really tasty. Thank you :)

We were driving from Robe to Adelaide and needed to stretch our legs so stopped in town and had a walk round, this place seemed popular with locals so we went on for a coffee and a cakeService friendly and helpful good food and good drinks well worth a stop to try it

Doing some running around and needed the kids fueled up.. coffee, biscuits and a bun! Good clean shop these days and healthier rolls and fruit salad in menu
