Dascul's Diner - MENINGIE

Our holiday seemed to be full of lateness, especially when it came to lunch. We were looking for a non-deep friend lunch and Duscal's was still open. Not much left in the warmer but the spicy and tasty pasty went down well with the thick corn and chicken soup that you almost needed a knife to cut through. The manager has photos up of her niece who stars in "Love Child" and was only too happy to talk about her. Our sort of place. Cheap. No fuss but very welcoming

The biggest mistake I made. I was on a diet and told my husband, he can order a beef burger, but I would stick to my diet. And then the burger was brought in front of him. And it was a real Aussie burger. If you have only eaten American burgers in your life, you really missed something. I asked my dear husband if I can have a bite and I ate more than half of it. I can only blame this burger. It was the BEST BURGER I ever ate in the whole of Australia. I read that their chips are also very good. If you should ever visit Meningie, don't make my mistake, but spoil yourself at this beautiful restaurant/cafe.

Friendly service. Takeaway or dine in. Lots of interesting information to read. The staff were very helpful. Great place to stop for hot food.

Internet rated a lot higher than we received on the day, chips were over-rated and under delivered as previous comments on the internet, disappointed not open for breakfast on sunday morning
