Daruma Sushi - Maungakiekie-Tamaki

As far as Sushi trains are concerned, this place gets a pass. The sushi on display feels unfresh sometimes so Order from the menu for a better experience. It is however, VERY overpriced. $4,60 for the most basic plate is ridiculous. Enjoyable experience, but we will only be going once. Just been to this place today but got massively over charged for what we actually ate. We had a total of 11 plates but got charged for 27. We were not shown the receipt before we pay, and I thought that was very pricy. When I checked the receipt right after and found out we were over charged I went back straight away but they were not able to refund because 'they have already cleaned the plates ' and there was no way to verify how much we really had eaten. I could tell them what we ate but they were not interested. This was almost 3 times the amount we ate. How can they get it so wrong?! Update: I reached out to the business and received prompt response. Very helpful to resolve the issue! I have changed my review to reflect this but I urge diners to count the plates yourself to prevent unnecessary hassle. Hi I recently came to the store, the food was really great but service was a bit awkward. I didn’t feel much comfortable but at least sushi are nice. Would be better if the price a little bit cheaper, still a bit expensive. Thumbzup for the people who made the sushi.
