Poppyseeds Bagels - Matthews

Why so extremely expensive, I don't believe you're shipping water from NY to make the bagels.Another question, why doesn't the cashier ever give a itemized receipt ??? I never know with a visit what the charges are until total is expressed.Please review and explain. Thank you !

Simply the worst experience. I will never go there again and I suggest you save yourself the frustration. The manager/owner should really retire and should have never been in a business dealing with the public. She simply hates her customers. Here is what happened...I ordered and paid online for pick up. When I arrived, there was a line of about 15 people. My bag was sitting on the counter with my name and receipt stapled to it. I stepped up to the counter and explained I had an online order. The owner didn 't verbally respond, she just pointed to the back of the line. I was very confused so I thought she didn 't understand what I was saying. I explained I had ordered and paid online and just had to pick it up...that 's my order right there. She said I understand, and I can 't give you the order until your turn in line . I guess every other business is doing online ordering the wrong way?? EVERY place let 's you just pick up when you order ahead...kinda the point. Obviously everything was cold because I had to wait in line for over 15 min to get my order.

Order two items and both were messed up. Lox and cream cheese, only had three very small pieces of salmon. Sandwich with cheese, to bad it had cream cheese on it. Who eats a heated roast beef sandwich with cream cheese. Not me, I wanted American cheese. I guess I'm too old fashion. Got home with the food and found the errors.

Went to Poppyseeds bagels today. Was always good in the past. Today they added+charged for lettuce and tomatoes I didn't ask for,forgot to toast one sandwich,was ignored when asked daughters sandwich to be wrapped young man first,then girl sweeping gave me strange look and a man said leave it their and I'll get to it. Icing on cake after spending $41.50 on lunch for 2 adults and 1 child I asked for a glass of water. Got attitude again and they tried to charge me 33 cents for water. I asked politely if he was crazy. BTW IT WAS NOT VERY BUSY LIKE THE OLD DAYS.HAD THEY BEEN FRIENDLY LIKE THEY USED TO BE I COULD OVERLOOK THE REST

Hit or miss when the person is only half paying attention. Two takeout orders just now and neither one with the bagel that is supposed to come with it. Pay attention, guys!!
