Browns Socialhouse - Maple Ridge

We stopped for lunch, as the couple of other restaurants we tried all had at least a 1 hr wait. No waits here, should have been the first clue.When our waitress came for drink orders, I asked what "Craft" beers they have on tap. She responded - Goose Island (Labatts), Coors, Guinness, etc. None of them are even close to being craft beer.Our group of 6 adults & 1 toddler received the meals 2 plates at a time, with the waitress making 4 trips to deliver all meals. While the food was hot at one point, none of the meals were hot when they reached the table. Most restaurants we have visited with our grandson serve the toddlers first, helps to keep them quiet, but not here. They served the toddler last.The food quality was extremely poor. Waffles were stone cold, dry and extremely heavy. The advertised maple syrup did not taste like real maple syrup. The waffles were also tiny. The eggs benny were both cold, with portion sizes rather small. The English muffins were not toasted, the prosciutto shaved ultra thin and miniscule quantity and the hollandaise sauce minimal. On one portion the egg whites were raw. The waitress was advised and responded "You requested soft poached eggs". Sorry, wrong answer. The breakfast potatoes were also cold and under-cooked. Most restaurants, when they serve a raw meal, make an adjustment on the bill. Not here.Definitely will never return to the Maple Ridge location.

Prices are normal for a pb, food is good, they could expand a bit on the menu items, but selections are good

A bunch of friends and I met for beer and appetizers. We first tried to be jovial with the waiters but we couldn't get her to crack a smile. Next we ordered food, we asked how big the nachos was and she held out her hands about two feet apart so in guy language that means big. Well when it came it wasn't big enough to feed a 5 year old . so we then ordered 4 plates of wings that once again cost too much for too little. As this is going on we were trying to ordering beers but she would come and take a beer order from one guy and miss the rest . My brother then made the mistake of looking around to the the bartender to see if his beer was there and he must have looked at him the wrong way because the bartender then came up to him and basically said to him hey, what's your problem. Lol in all my years of dealing with the public I never seem someone react like that because a customer was getting tired of waiting for a beer that was only ten feet away from him...... Ya not ever going back

Visited on an evening during the week with my husband. We were greeted by a very friendly, attentive waiter. We ordered salt and pepper wings with hot sauce on the side, I ordered fettuccini Alfredo, and my husband ordered a fish burger. The wings were great, the Alfredo was mediocre (too many peas), and the fish burger was amazing. I don't order fish burgers or tacos because I usually find them dry. I had a bite of the fish burger and it was fantastic. My husband says he orders it every time he comes! I saw a baby in the place and I had it in my head that it was classified as a pub, so no children. But I guess I'm wrong. The bar was quite busy with the after work crowd. There was also a kind of enclosed patio with cushy lounge chairs to be seated at.

We went on a Saturday night and enjoyed itSat at the bar and the service was goodYam fries are excellent.
