Quady Winery - Madera

Went for wine tasting, the staff was welcoming and made it a fun experience. They share the history of the winery and wine details. Surprised to find out they have other things besides moscato, especially the vermouth.

OH MY GOSH!!! These wines are right up my Alley!!! If you love sweet wines, you will LOVE these dessert or ANYTIME Wines/Moscatos! From light and velvety Ports to rich and spicy Moscatos. I was blown away with this small operation winery and their love and passion for their craft. The woman that helped us through our Quady Wine tasting also gave us a quick tour of the property. They were bottling their most popular Moscato. I felt very lucky to be following her around and hearing the stories and the history of this gem of a Winery. Mind you, it is probably much too out of the way to make a 'special ' trip here, but if you are in the area or going to be going to Yosemite or leaving Yosemite and headed this way, SWING BY! The tasting was free. We tried two Wines, two Moscatos, and a Port. She led us through some of the information, tastes, flavors, aging process etc. about each selection of wine which enhanced the experience. I can 't say enough about how much I enjoyed it! The tasting and tour was quick, but the impression this place has made, were ever-lasting. Definitely one of my favorite Winery 's. We bought two Moscatos and one Wine. I wanted the Port, but we will probably make a run to the local liquor shop to get that after we exhaust these 3 bottles. We hope you try this place and enjoy it, too!
