Black Bear Diner - Madera

My daughter and I have gone there the last two year's for my birthday. I have had set up luncheons there with my friends, my wife and I have stopped to eat there several times. Except for waiting for a table when it's busy we have enjoyed the different variety of meals, the majority of the waitresses are friendly, courteous efficient. Like any restaurant you may experience a meal not to your standard advise the waitress but give the restaurant another chance then make your decision

Great breakfast! I had the volcanic breakfast and it was amazing! My husband had the Denver Omelet and loved it! Freshly squeezed orange juice just ice cold. It is very busy, right on the highway 99 and next to the hotel. So there's a waiting time, but it's worth it. While we were there the lunch special was hand-creamed fish and chips, all you can eat fish no less for 10.99! Friendly, but very busy staff!! Be friendly, patient

We took our grandson, he had the little corn-dog pieces with frits and loved it, I had the Californian burger who was delicious and my husband had the chicken fried steak also delicious....you get a lot of food for the money! On the way out we also bought Billy the Black Bear...lol

Great food and great service! It was my daughters birthday and they gave her a wonderful treat! This place was awesome all around.
