They have around 5-6 meats on the buffet, ranging from catfish to steak fingers. They have several veggies, ranging from green beans and corn to collard greens. My only complaint was that the cost has climbed recently and it's not quite the value that it once was.
Read the reviews so we stopped in for lunch. It was just okay overall. had good veggies i had chicken and dumplings it was not very good. salad bar is good, had several desserts i didn't eat any/of them My husband had the catfish and said it was good. He ad the banana pudding and loved it
FANTASTIC BUFFET! Don't pay attention to the negative comments about ordering off the menu. We're a family of three traveling from Dallas to San Antonio, and we discovered this gem on the map. Southern Kitchen is no joke—the catfish was the best I've had in years!
We dine here often because the food offers great Southern home cooking. However, they could enhance the buffet by adding a bit more variety.
I've noticed the signs for Raymond's on I35 for many years and always thought we should give it a try. We finally stopped by for lunch, and it seemed we arrived after the lunch rush. The buffet line was nearly empty, and the waitress was not very friendly. The catfish was decent, but it wasn't served hot and lacked flavor. The overall cleanliness of the place was disappointing and didn't make it appealing. I wouldn't go back, nor would I recommend it to others.
