Waka Sushi Japanese Restaurant

First off, this establishment is very underrated and I am compelled to tell anyone who is on the fence about trying this little gem of the cineplex plaza.

Ended up here as it's right next to the movie theater we were to go to Had miso soup - quite bland Toro - strictly okthe first round had some funny

The staff was pretty professional, they were very friendlyThe sushi wasn't to die for but it was still yummy.

Waka is located on the parking lot of the Langley Cineplex so there is lots of parking. The place is small, clean and comfortable. My friend's vegetarian dinner was beautifully presented on a butcher block and my gomae salad was the best I have tasted. Wonderful peanut sauce! Service was excellent, the waitress was cheerful and kept coming back to fill up our tea cups without us having to ask. Just before the bill we were invited to try a treat of a scoop of ice cream deep fried in a lovely crust. Must have a whole order next time.

We were there for lunch on a Sat and we were the only ones in the restaurant - I suspect they are busy for dinner when the theaters are open. Very good meals and pricing very reasonable. Service was good - well being the only ones there I would hope so. I would go again
