Fork N' Chopstix Chinese & Western Bistro

Yummy food but ditzy servers. Big portions. Good soup. Good lunches. But the need to turn the heat up. Freezing inside

It doesn't make any sense to get customers to dine with a groupon but then give sub-par service. This place barred us from ordering off the lunch menu, and then told us that people who order off that menu are served faster (because that food is ready to go I guess.) Overall, I find the service poor, with surly waitresses who seemed indifferent to us.The food I suppose is okay, if you like western style Chinese food. Having travelled frequently in China, I find the food quite bland and uninspired. (There are more authentic restaurants in Langley, I know.)That said, the vegetables were quite fresh.We won't be back, even if we are in the neighbourhood.

My wife purchased a Groupon 15.00 for 25.00 worth of food. As we entered a voice from the back said sit anywhere. The waitress was pleasant but dressed like the janitor. My wife wanted a glass of white wine the waitress paused and said I'll check she came back with what she called a zinfandel. My tasted it and it was clearly very old and rancid. The waitress thought it smelled bad but served it anyway. We ordered then my wife noticed there was a person sleeping in the corner booth. I went to the waitress and asked that she box our dinner to go. She said it was a Groupon and we would have to dine in. Then she looked over at the person sleeping and said the boss is sleeping so I'll just figure it out. At that point I wanted to leave the place without dinner but took the food home. As expected it was loaded with msg and tasted horrible. I'm not picky but with all the fantastic restaurants in the Langley area there is absolutely no reason anyone should be dining here.

Because we were attending the Semiahmoo Rod and Gun Club later in the day we decided to wander into Langley to find a restaurant to explore. We found the Fork N' Chopstix just West of the Surrey/Langley border. As the name implies the fare offered is not quite as authentically oriental as one would expect. The menu is basically a mixture of westernized combination dishes.

I have been going there since they opened for Take out. It is always consistent and great quality. Would definitely recommend them to anyone.
