Steak 'n Shake - Lakeland

Happy hour milkshakes are half price from 2 am to 5 pm and the kids love them plus free frits with any sandwich / burger if you don't want the combo!

The few times I went to this place, the staff were very friendly and accurate with my orders. The line is moving pretty fast, but weekends are busy.

Surprisingly I go to this place quite often. it is convenient about halfway between my house and work and is open late. I am rarely satisfied. regardless of the time of day or the number of people in the trip thru, there is always a long waiting period. for example, I was just there on the menu table waiting for order. there was only one car in front of me that was at the window to pay. I waited for 4 minutes and had no one ever come over the loudspeaker to take my order. that's not the first thing similar happened. sometimes, and I mean less often than expected, I am satisfied with the taste of my food. but almost always the service is incredibly slow and unprofessional.

It's totally messed up. 1 Burger, from 3 was almost right. The chili cheeseries consisted of a semi-filled large fries container (the height of the frits were BELOW the front, lower opening of the frits container), No, they did not pour out in the bag, the container that should have the chili cheese in it, had a light cover of chili in the bottom of it, and there was a small container of cheese. I have to build the big pommes with about 1/4 of the required ingredients myself. And two burgers had nothing but cheese and mayonnaise. And they expect $15/hr in Florida?

All the employees in the drive thru are very professional and kind. The order went smoothly. They even have a nice new outdoor area to eat. The food was made neatly and very yummy. The only reason why I did not give them 5 stars was because they did not do the tamper sealed bags as advertised and they forgot BBQ sauce for the chicken.
