Lago - LAKE LOUISE

We enjoyed our meal here. I wouldn't say it is authentic Italian but the hotel is beautiful, food is good and service was really good. Not many options for nice restaurants in Lake Louise and this is a really good option. We would go back.

Our first time visiting Canadian National Parks. After a long day of sightseeing we were looking for a nice meal to finish a terrific day. We chose to have dinner at the Lago. What we ended up with was simply a fantastic meal. We started off with Mojito's.A first time drink for us both. They were delightful. My wife had the manicotti and I had the lasagne. We both enjoyed the entree's and would highly recommend them to all diners. One last note the server was Kaitlyn. She attended to us with just the right amount of attention. Thanks to the Lago and Kaitlyn!

We were staying at the Fairmont Lake Louise, and wanted to eat dinner on the property our 1st night. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. Concierge told us 8:15 was the earliest we could get in not sure why, I don 't think the place was even 1/2 full. I made the assumption they were short staffed, and didn 't want service to suffer. I was wrong. The place had people standing around. Service was not worthy of the Fairmont Brand. Don 't even know where to begin but Seemed like a long wait for the entrees and no one followed up on our request for bread. We were a party of 5, and our entrees came out at different times. There is an open kitchen, and you could see it was in chaos. This was not even close to the biggest service issue, however. What really ruined the dinner for us was one of the servers (not our waiter) had serious B.O. Not just a hey, I am on my second shift funk but a full blown make a freight train take a gravel road stench. There is no way his coworkers, or manager, could have missed this and that is what was really disappointing the staff gives off the impression that they just don 't care. To top it off, the bill came, and no pen to sign for it honest mistake, but when we asked one of the other servers for a pen, she seemed very bothered by the request. The only highlight is that the food was pretty darn good. In fact, it is the only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1. This is a fairly pricey restaurant, yet has the value proposition of a Denny 's. I really hope Hotel Management takes a look at this place and gets it to a level of this kind of resort.

Don't order the veal parm. Too much breading and the veal was the driest I ever had. Cheese on top and tomato sauce on side helped but this meal including the spaghetti tasted like it was on a hot plate in a cafeteria somewhere. Caesar salad tasted good though. Something however didn't agree with my stomach that night. All in all not a good experience.

It's one of the breakfast options at the Chateau. There's a buffet breakfast for CAD$36 or a la carte items for around $30. The buffet is a better deal for what it's worth. I had the omelette and it was cooked well and tasty. The servers were busy running around; it's obvious they have some staffing issues like everyone else. Everyone was friendly.
