Walliser Stube - LAKE LOUISE

Much better than the Fairview, even though we had better Schnitzel in Europe (here, it was porc and cut too thick . But the food was overall good and the decor is warm and Swiss inspired. Our waitress was also very welcoming and efficient.We thought you could order cheese fondue but apparently you have to order it as part of a menu, so we tried the Wiener schnitzel and the tourte aux champignons (delicious! .

Nice atmosphere, a few tables have excellent views. Friendly hostess. Server was perfunctory. Food was bland, very average. A huge disappointment especially given the very high prices. Go somewhere else; we wish we had.

We had reservations for 6pm. Shaelynn greeted us, sat us and provided us exceptional service including at table. The remainder of the service was not so great. It took us two hours to complete and we had only dinner items and a bottle of wine. My wife ordered a salad and shrimp cocktail and we asked her items be served with my steak and sides. They brought her shrimp out at least 30 minutes before my steak. We asked for bread and it took 30 minutes. The food was exceptional, best steak ever. The waitress forgot to add the wine bottle to the bill, so here we go again, bill redone. Food a 5, service a 3 other than Shaelynn. They are clearly understaffed and somewhat disorganized. Allow 2 hours for dining. Pricey.

Thank you Asher for our dinner suggestion. It was outstanding and we enjoyed every bite and sip. Every nice restaurant at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.

Had an excellent dinner! We were treated as VIP guests. Gave us complimentary champagne because we were celebrating our anniversary. Got a signed anniversary card also. Ordered the Chateau Experience and wine pairing for dinner. Outstanding!!! Kira and Evie were wonderful. Sat by window for fabulous view!
