After reading the previous review, our experience was no different. We weren't sure where to place our order and had to wait a long time for our ice cream, as it seemed like the young employee was frying beaver tails instead. There were no umbrellas to shield us from the sun while we waited, even though the tables had holes for them. Frustrated, we eventually asked for a refund and left. Overall, we were very disappointed with our visit. It felt like Beavertail died there, not Killaloe.
Worker spent too much time paying attention to a friend hanging on the counter instead of focusing on her job and customers. Beavertails were made small, with holes and overcooked.
With the whole hype that the stand is considered the ?birthplace of the Beavertails?, it was rather a very unpleasant experience. We noticed it was quite busy, but the two workers did not even acknowledge the people in line. My husband and friends stood in line for a good 15-20 minutes with a few people behind us. The only time the lady spoke was when our dogs barked and asked us to move the dogs behind a sign they had by the garbage. We ended up leaving as the line did not move. Only later to find out from a previous review that a lady had written, that we actually had to order from the ice cream stand next door. I believe the lady that wrote the review was just behind us in line. How were we supposed to know where to order? We figured it was at the Beavertails stand?.No signs, no nothing. The workers couldn?t even inform us that we would need to order next door. We waited in line for absolute no reason. The lady working there definitely does not seem too happy to be there. Very unfortunate!
Terrible service. Stood there waiting for 15 minutes while they failed to acknowledge guests. Several people in line got fed up and left. Worker?s family arrived and she acknowledged them made them a beavertail while a line of guests were waiting. Finally asked if I could order, and was only then told you have to go to the grill to order pay. When asked why nobody informed guests, they said ?we used to have a sign, but the owners told us to take it down.? Suggested that they acknowledge guests when they arrive inform them, and they just shrugged it off. Once I gave them my order, another 10 minutes went by while the worker cooked up over 10 beavertails, left them to sit and get cold. He only prepared my order once I went over and waited by the stand. Will definitely not be going back; and highly recommend you just wait until the travelling beavertail stands come to your town. Don?t waste your time here. Because your business sure isn?t appreciated.
