I don't think I've ever left a bad criticism, but the photos against reality were a big difference. The price points on the menu items were the same as scales or any other restaurant where we ate, but almost every dish used previously frozen ingredients, also the strawberry shortcake used frozen strawberries....(s are summer fresh strawberries easy to come). The Gnocchi said handmade and at $40/plate I believed them, but it was nothing like the fresh handmade melt in your mouth gnocchi of Chez Rosa or 50 local, it was hard as it was probably handmade then thrown into the freezer. My child does not see how the waitress mentioned on the table, how hard his chocolate cake was and the waitress, without missing a beat, said oh his, because it was frozen. The appetizers were dirty and frozen corn and canned beans is not what we expect when paying $500 for a meal. I gave a star for convenient parking, which is difficult to get in Kennebunk.
Pleasantly surprised by this new spot! Nice view. Kenneth our waiter, was AWESOME. The Nacho Tray best.
We had a family wedding there on September 24th. Nice place. I think our food was great. We had filled with asparagus and potatoes. My aunt paid for open bar. The problem lies with the male bartender who served us. He kept calling guests. He threatened my wife and I when we drank our rocks vodka? Like a shot, he would cut off all mixed alcohol for the whole wedding party. For the amount of money spent, no guest should be threatened and told how to drink a drink. Without saying, I don't have another drink because of the fear that he'll yell at us again. This was an adult wedding not some Frat House children wedding. We will not soon return to or have family weddings again.
Loved the individual cabanas. Food was good. It was odd how to get out to our table, through the pool area or around the lawn, but that was fine. It is definitely a resort restaurant with another activity close by, microphone included and live music..which was very cruise ship sounding. Overall we got what we came for which was a beautiful view of the water and boats and an incredible lobster risotto.
Excellent in every way. Creative menu, delicious food, outstanding service, fantastic views. We dined at 95 Ocean and Latitudes, which is more casual but equally good. Highly recommend no but either way, bring your wallet very pricey but worth the splurge at least once if you?re visiting the area.
