For the family ordered, got fish of the day, huh gouions, chips, cajun huh burger the eating was absolutely tasty have taste that good from other places, but this was top notch . the teamworkers .young girls on the front dressed was simply nice and pleasant to treat. I loved the beepers who gave their that pupils when food ready to collect, ingenious idee. many thanks for their wonderful service and eat. recommend a visit in keel, achill.

Lammburger was ineffective! especially thanks to the staff who went away to sort a gluten-free option for our little girls too. I would recommend this takeaway to anyone looking for cheap, high quality food.

Delighted to see the The Islander takeaway in Achill open under new management. Dinner for 2 adults and 4 children on Thursday after a gorgeous afternoon on Keel beach everyone of us was raving about the food. Fish box and Fish Chips were the best we’ve had in a very long time (great size portions too), children also enjoyed the goujons. We visit Achill every Summer and will definitely be eating from this takeaway again.

Fabulous take away. Excellent quality ingredients and very fresh food. The staff are all charming. If I had one word of advice it would be to come in before peak times as it’s the only take away in Keel and when 50 holiday makers descend upon the takeaway at dinner time there can obviously be longish queues and higher wait times. This is normal and to be expected from a take away which represents such great value for money. I ordered my food this evening at about 18:30 and it was ready in under 10 mins. Get in early!

We were in keel camping over the weekend and went to the islander , I have to say the food was so so nice , and considering there was very long ques all evening , the staff were brilliant, the girl taking the orders was so polite and helpfull and also works in the shop next door which also had very kind and helpfully staff considering how busy there were. Will definitely be going back again .
