Good service with great food and beautiful views. No booking , staff looked after us straight away. Well done all

Misty evening in April and 2 starving travellers. We were greeted by lovely and welcoming staff. We both had the chowder , followed by brie salad, goats tart salad . Hit the right spot .

Can't comment on the food as we left before we'd even ordered. When we first arrived we were ignored. Then a male waiter ignorantly told us to sit in the cafe area. He couldn't have appeared more disinterested or like he'd rather be anywhere else but. I then had the menus thrown at me, and I mean that literally. He threw the menu on the table, between my face and the counter. He then rudely muttered something under his breath to the female waitress. At this point the awful service we'd received was enough to put us off the place and we left. The waiters rudeness and awful service was enough to not make me want to spend hard earned money in your restaurant, and I definitely won't be rushing back or recommending. After we left, I read other recent reviews about the same awful service. So it's seems to be a common occurrence.

What I like the most about the Gielty’s is that they are always there No matter the season the weather whatever they are always open and very welcome! The food is good! The staff is nice! The view is picturesque! They have a spacious parking! So do call in anytime you are on the way to Keem Bay or Achill Island

Decent food. Lovely cheesecake! Business up for sale when I visited in October 2023, so this review probably not very helpful.
