Definitely was expecting a bit more from here. The “homemade hashbrowns” led me to believe they had more to them then just shredded plain unseasoned potatoes. I ordered sausage fried egg and cheese on wheat toast, the sausage Pattie’s were about 1/4 of the size of the bread, the toast tasted stale and my eggs were scrambled. My boyfriends eggs were also made over easy after ordering fried. Extremely over priced for what it is.
Egh. Better than Sun Valley Family Restaurant for sure, especially breakfast, but how does a breakfast joint not have biscuits?? This is the South (though most aren 't Southern . Can they not offer English muffins (huh? and biscuits? We all know neither are homemade so just buy some frozen biscuits. Typical US Food Service mass-produced food. It all tastes bland and boring wherever one goes. Man, I miss the mom and pop REAL breakfast joints...
Easy to spot from the road. Questionable looking from the outside. More charming in a dinette kind of way on the inside. Service was good. My food arrive with hair in it. They made me another sandwich. But I question if I got fresh onion rings, because I had salted mine and marked them before I sent the food back. And the ones on my new plate came back with salt on them. The food also arrived quicker than it takes to drop rings in a basket in the oil to fry. Husband said his food was fine and he was full. Good parking.
This place has gone so downhill. it used to be good very good, even. But not anymore. The last couple of times we have come here the food has been borderline inedible. I got the country fried steak, which used to be a good order. The gravy was so thick and floury and the steak wasn’t even crispy, at all. i can’t believe they let it leave the kitchen like it came to the table. Also, they’ve been telling everyone that the oven is broken which is why they don’t have biscuits…for over a year and come to find out today the waitresses just don’t want to come in early to make the biscuits themselves so they lie to everyone and just say the oven is broken. I’ve never seen an establishment go so far downhill. We will never come back and honestly, that’s sad because we love supporting local.
