It can get quite crowded and some products may sell out early in the season. I prefer to do most of my food shopping at this market, as well as the smaller Wednesday market at the same location. The fresh salsa made in Homer is the best I've ever tasted, and I look forward to the delicious baked goods from a vegan baker twice a week in the summer. The vegan baker offers a variety of treats such as bread, cookies, cakes, pastries, and kimchi, as well as sourdough bread and fermented pickles. During the growing season, there is a wide selection of produce available including greens, mushrooms, garlic, tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplants, celery, herbs, root vegetables, berries, and apples. In addition to produce, there are also vendors selling kombucha, coffee, jams, chocolates, baked goods, and personal care products. While most vendors sell on both Saturday and Wednesday, some specialty vendors only sell on Saturdays. The Wednesday market is typically less crowded than the Saturday market.
We visited ende juli 2019, and in addition to a bag full of lacinato kale, landmarks, massive broccoli, and two containers from the salsa provider (for the additional heat! heat is in alaska, yo,) my wife and I have also tried a zimtrolle from one of the three vegan bakery stands. super sweet and soft-bread-y, in a pleasant wise. excellent pouring coffee stand! it was also really cool to pick up so many local people. fyi, vida thai has a lkw, and it apparently has vegan option in the city, but we could not see if they bring something to the market that is suitable.

My wife and I visited this restaurant at the end of July 2019. In addition to purchasing a bag full of lacinato kale, landscapes, massive Broccoli, and two containers of salsa for some added heat (because it's Alaska, yo), we also decided to try a cinnamon roll from one of the three vegan bakery stands. The cinnamon roll was super sweet and soft, in a pleasant way. The coffee booth had excellent pour-over coffee. We enjoyed the opportunity to meet so many local people at the market. We learned that Vida Thai has a food truck with vegan options in the city, but we were unable to determine if they bring anything suitable to the market.
