When we land in Portland, we drive to the Dolphin for lobster. Then we plan our daily excursions so we can eat there two or three times more before we leave. We can't think of another place in the country we'd rather eat, and this year we are planning our vacation around their open and close of the season!

The Dolphin is a zoo of a restaurant ran by circus monkeys. These people don’t understand common restaurant lingo. I asked the bartender and manager 4 separate times if a barstool was first come first serve, they replied “oh yes they are” but then told me i needed to get up (from my open barstool) and wait in a ten minute line to be seated? The restaurant was an absolute mess. Thats not first come first serve service. Then when you attempt to order anything, the bartenders ignore you and a manager will come over and grab your arm and force you to go talk to the hostess? No thanks, you wont see me here. I already know that if the service and management are that incompetent, the food will be mediocre as well. Judging by the other reviews, the shoe fits.

Worst place !! The owner of the restaurant Chris is rude , behaves very improperly with the staff, I feel sorry for the people who work there!!!The food is terrible, very dirty!!!

We’ve choose this place randomly due to 4.6 stars on google but it looks like most of reviews was lefted by the owner, which is very rude to the personel visitors… Food is nasty, 1hr wait to take a seat, be ready that they bring u the wrong order for which u will need to pay.
