Sheer Bliss Bakery Cafe - Gibsons

I ordered a salad without onions because I'm allergic to onions. They brought my salad to me but it had onions on it so I reminded the server (who is also the person who took my order) that there should not be any onions. She very quickly took the plate away and returned only seconds later with the salad. As I had the first mouthful I was amazed how it tasted like onions and thought maybe there had been cross contamination in the kitchen. When I went to have more there were onions near the bottom. I went to the counter and the cook came over an chastised me for complaining about only a few onions!!! Clearly all they did was try to remove the onions not replace the salad. This is absolutely no acceptable in todays age of eating challenges.

My wife and I had a delicious breakfast and coffee at Sheer Bliss Bakery and Café. The avocado toast with egg and the omelette were epicurean delights. The scone we got for the road was the best we have had, moist and flavorful. Service was quick and friendly. Don’t let the prices dissuade you. We highly recommend this café.

We stopped into Sheer Bliss while cycling through the area for lunch and it truly was bliss. The food was excellent (highly recommend the mushroom soup, chilli and carrot cake) the environment was relaxing and the owners were simply wonderful. Packed full of local regulars, Sheer Bliss is certainly a place that keeps people coming back. The owner even told us one cute couple who had been sitting next to us come every day. We particularly appreciated the bike parking that was available!

Love going here for lunch. Food is good , a little pricy. Restaurant has been revamped for Covid quidelines however staff do not were masks and while we were sitting outside with our grandchildren the server came and cleared our dishes. This could have waited until we left or we would have been happy to clear our own dishes instead of the server coming within a 10 inches of our faces. Not happy about this.
