O Cha De Rosa’s - Funchal

Having left a nearby well-known patisserie because they were utterly rude, I chanced upon O Cha de Rosa's. Pleasant, helpful staff serving a selection of delicious cakes. A great find.

Such a delightful environment to enjoy an hour with refreshments. We had a vegan sandwich prepared for us and tea with soya milk So grateful..as many venues do not cater for allergies. Relaxing environment too.

So obliging, we are two vegans hungry for fresh food, what a delight to find this patisserie. We made several visits, always a joy. Nothing too much trouble. Homemade and served with a smile. Well recommended ,excellent English too

This is a nice café with comfortable chairs and a very clean toalets. We just stop for coffe and apple tarte. Many people came during our stay.

We spent 2 full weeks in Funchal and we found all of the local Madeirans to be incredibly friendly and helpful. But Rosa and Ana Rosa, the two owners, were even more amazing that all the rest. We stopped in dozens of other cafes for tea, coffee, sandwiches, cakes, biscuits, etc. and O Cha de Rosa was by far the best. The food and beverages were as good or better than any other cafe on the island. But Rosa and Ana Rosa were the best. They were soooo friendly and went out of their way to make sure that we had an amazing experience. After all, isn't that what you really want when you stop for a drink and a snack? We will absolutely be back today and the next day and the days after that!
