The Hut - Fort Myers

The interior of the restaurant could be a bit more upscale, yet still maintains a certain simplicity.

I went to the restaurant with our friends, and we had a fantastic time. The food was delicious, and the waitress was excellent. We plan to return soon with our children and their dogs, as they have a great spot where we can all enjoy ourselves together. We love this restaurant and are really saddened to hear that it's for sale. We just discovered it!

We had lunch on the lovely outdoor deck. Aside from a group from a local resort, there were few other diners. Our server was attentive, and I ordered the fried haddock dinner, which was available for both lunch and dinner. The piece of fish I received was quite greasy. Two of my guests ordered lunch, and their meals also appeared oily, as if the oil hadn't been heated properly. One guest ordered ribs and mentioned they were good, but the portion was small. The other guest had a grilled chicken sandwich with fries, and the portion seemed more like an appetizer than a full meal. I felt embarrassed for him as it didn’t seem like a proper meal. Given this experience, I'm unsure if I'd return, even for the pleasant atmosphere.

Fun place and eating was great, we had great service. stay and enjoyed dancing and listening to the music!

Evidently making a reservation is totally useless. I had called and made a reservation for a table outside at 5 o’clock Sunday evening and when we got there the hostess indicated that it everything was full out there and so that was that – – we ate inside but at least it was by a window.
