Kyoto Sushi And Hibachi - Fort Myers

Our experience at the restaurant was disappointing! The rice had a strange flavor, almost as if it had been cooked in old oil or dirty pans. We ordered chicken fingers and fries for the kids, but the chicken was overcooked and tough—it was nearly impossible for them to bite through. The fries tasted like they had been fried in the same oil used for seafood, which was unappetizing. Additionally, one of our entrees was missing the soup or salad that was supposed to come with it. The service did not help the situation; it felt unwelcoming, and the staff was curt and unhelpful, especially considering that almost everyone's meal had an issue. We were offered a 50% discount for this dreadful experience, but there were no apologies, only excuses. I wish I could rate this place lower than one star—if I could, it would be -5 stars.

I also ordered hibachi and a teriyaki bowl, but both had an odd flavor. When we brought our concerns to the staff's attention, the only response was an offer of a discount, even for the meals that our kids refused to eat. I will not be returning, and if it were possible to give a negative rating, I certainly would.

My husband and I frequently order takeout from this restaurant, and we always find the food to be delicious. The staff clearly puts in a lot of effort. While it's not a fancy place, it's incredibly convenient. Food: 5/5.

I ordered for take out and the fresh salmon and avocado roll was the only one of THREE that were edible. The cream cheese in the roll with Mango is terrible, The JB Roll is awful the salmon is like over cooked ground canned tuna fish. It’s not good. I spent $50 on this meal and it’s just awful. My family of four went here for a quick sit down dinner. Yes, the food comes out in to go containers, which is perfect because you WILL be leaving with leftovers! The Udon noodle with terriyaki chicken, and the other steak, was not only delicious, but HUGE portions. We also had 3 different sushi rolls, all fresh and delicious (Dynamite Roll, Snow Mountain Roll, and Volcano Roll). Crab rangoon is always a good appetizer option, as well. There was a large drink selection, and also beer and wine. We were very pleased with everything. The lady in the front, who also served us, was very friendly. We will be back!
