Silk Cakes - Forest Hills

It's been 3 years since I ordered a custom cake from Silk Cakes for the 100-day celebration of our daughter, but it was still a wonderful memory of the cake. They were responsive and helpful and don't give me any thought about any option I was wondering about. I had bought all these cupcakes before the time to nail a taste, and all that Yuzu seemed to be my favorite. The cupcakes are delicious and unique. They recommend to let them sit for a while at room temperature to bring them to a nice consistency, but the staff would like to warm it up for you if you want to consume it immediately. I still buy cupcakes with our daughter. It's hard to resist. Not much space, only good for a maximum of 6 people. The step before the business is not child-friendly, but they are ready to give a helping hand. Try them out! Some of the flavors my photo shows are seasonal.

A bakery to get your Asian inspired birthday cakes and cupcakes. Their desserts are pretty and not too sweet, so they are a big hit in the Asian family. I love inventive flavors, so ordered a good portion of Silk Cakes’ menu to try: cake: Ube (Purple Yam) cake with coconut whipped cream (it is vegan). Best eaten in room temperature (one and a half hours before for an optimal experience) 6” for $28 8” for $44 10” for $55 12” for $95 14” for $150 cupcakes: $3.50 each Yuzu (Japanese Lemon) cupcake with strawberry butter cream nama green tea filling Hong Kong milk tea cupcake with coffee butter cream (seasonal) I was most excited to taste the Thai tea cupcake. Thai tea was quite subtle in tea taste, but I still enjoyed the cupcake. I recommend the other flavors much more! Had a really difficult time to decide which I loved and could not yet choose at the end of the devotion. You really cannot go wrong with one of the flavors offered at Silk Cakes. Other menu items/desserts at Silk Cakes: cakes cut $5.50 each mini round cake $8 each milk rolls $2.50 each hot or icey coffee between $2.50 4 hot tea $2 (small), $2.50 (small) inside silk cakes, it is clean and quiet, with a table and about 7 8 chairs sitting on while waiting for your order. I will definitely come back from time to time to taste their unique seasonal flavors and order more birthday cake! P.S. So many sweet food baby pictures! Amazing cake and service! I ordered a vegan cake on the same day pickup in the morning, but at this moment not paid as I had no card. But they still made the cake and called me up in the evening. It was Friday, crazy traffic. They even waited for hours until I got there. They literally waited for me by 20.10. How nice of them! Never experienced that. And the cake was great. Good wishes for silk cake!

So many options with so many fascinating flavor combinations! The Thai tea cupcake was so good (then again condensed milk in some form is my weakness, and I liked the texture of the black sesame cupcake. The Yuzu Cupcake fits well with its strawberry butter cream. The vegan Pandan cupcake with its chocolate avocado cream was also surprisingly decadent. Very recommended! Honestly, the only one I was unsafe was the vegan Ube cupcake – his coconut whipped cream turned around coconut water as soon as it touched my tongue. The sakura flower cake – beautiful and the texture inside was actually beautiful, like a soft pudding cake. The original milk tap – average, like any other milk tap, can be found in a regular bakery. They were from the chocolate chips and cream version, so they replaced my order with the original type (and were friendly enough to put my change above; thank you! . My wife and I love this place. We have gotten a custom made cake for our son's 2nd bday party and this year we ordered 40 gourmet cupcakes for his 3rd bday party. The food taste amazing. All of my friends complimented on how delicious the cupcakes were. The staff are very helpful and friendly. There is only a small table to sit at but it's more for ordering goodies for parties. Try the banana nut and Nutella cupcake my wife's favorite. I really like the Japanese uzo aka lemon and strawberry creme cupcake
