During our quest for delicious Mexican cuisine in Westchester County, we came across some excellent reviews for this restaurant. Intrigued, we decided to give it a try for an early dinner on a Saturday night. We started with the table-side guacamole and chips, which were perfect. The guacamole was the best we've ever had, and the chips had the perfect texture. I enjoyed an oversized margarita while my companion had a fantastic pina colada. The short rib Korean tacos were a standout dish, recommended by our server, and they did not disappoint with their flavorful and well-seasoned filling. My companion opted for the chicken chimichanga and thoroughly enjoyed it as well. The service was friendly and efficient. Though we were too full to try the churros, we definitely plan to return soon.
I love their beef tacos the most. They are delicious and come in large portions. The menu is extensive, offering over 10 different types of margaritas. The service at the Larchmont location is exceptional.
We were four adults and two children. Service was good with fast service from the bar and kitchen. The servers made the children feel very welcome, teaching them a little Spanish. Chips and salsa were fine, as were the margaritas. The guacamole prepared tableside was entertaining for the kids. The entrees were typical Tex-Mex, and came hot. Overall, good for a weekend lunch.
While the outdoor seating and decore of the inside create a fun, family atmosphere, the food at Rio Bravo just did not wow me. While it could have just been a bad dish, the flavors did not blend well and I was left craving Chipotle.
