Good place to order some wine or other drinks with good company and talk the night away Service is also very good. They also have a nice little alcove with 3 or 4 tables near the back of the restaurant that has a fire place.Ordered: 1. Taste of Gupji appetizer sampler. 2. Fish Roe soup. 3. okonomiyakiParking: Metered street parking is free after 7pm. This parking is found all within a few blocks of the restaurant.
Hightlight: A Japanese-style Korean restaurant. My personal favorite for a light meal. Nice environment and super cute hand written menu on blackboard.Recommendation: flying fish row rice, mini egg, okonomiyakiFood: we ordered GUPJI salad, okonomiyaki, pan fried oysters, karaage, mini egg, flying fish roe rice and everything taste good. One interesting thing is that they serve Japanese-style seafood pancakes but does not have Korean classic version. LOLFor flying fish row rice, please try it as soon as it comes to the table if you prefer the raw taste. Otherwise, it will be cooked by the temperature from rice.
The food here was good, maybe 4.5/5 but maybe not the best value.Pork belly stew was spicy and made me feel alive and they had good sauces pairings with most dishes.
Gupji is one of my favorite restaurants. This place is so cozy and nice. The staff are professional and friendly. I love the portion of the food and all the dishes are very well prepared food. It’s perfect place for both dining and drinking.
Amazing spot in Murray Hill. Favorites were Tako Wasabi, Sweet potato croquettes, fish roe rice, and mango salad. Deducting 1 point since the Tilapia and pan fried oysters were only OK, but all in all really good value.
