The food was moderately 3/5, but the service and split check option was 5/5 giving this place a total of 4 stars. I had asked for split checks, we ordered drinks with sampler and dessert to share under 4 of us. Two others shared a duck. When we got our controls, I was surprised to see that the fees were even divided by 1/4 and 1/2! I wish all the restaurants had done that. I have the Mango-Chamoy-Margarita. 16oz was $11 and 18oz was $12 so I got the bigger size. It was mixed and I couldn't taste any alcohol except the camel. The sampler came with Mexican pizza, Queensadilla, Tequitos, Ceviche, Guacamole, Beans and Cheese Dip. The articles have already been precut in 4 pieces, which was perfect for us. We were full of sampler and free chips and salsa. I have a chicken flute that came rice and beans I took home. We left a little room for flan, which was cold and firm. We also have the Carmel xango, which is like apple filled donut with vanilla ice cream. Overall, great atmosphere and atmosphere. Inside I have several dining rooms from quiet to noisy. Live music was entertaining.
For me its the best in SD. Been enjoying the food here for 35 yrs. Its always exactly what I hope it will be. Authentic. Never ever have we ever had anything but the best service and fresh quality everything. Flautas, tacos salads ar amazing. I always over eat due to it being my cheat day. So now I dont have to eat dinner!
Not crowded on this Sunday evening. Excellent food, great presentation with fast and friendly service. And great cocktails all with a very reasonable price. Oh and seating on the patio had a very authentic atmosphere. Definately worth repeating.
Family friendly Mexican restaurant. Impressively decorated inside everywhere with lots of Holiday decorations and multiple Santa's even. Great food and exceptional service. Family friendly and great choice for holiday dinning out. Recommended.
The location was hard to park at since there was a wall in the middle of the street of the shopping area and the front of the restaurant had an outdoor patio taking over the whole driveway. The food and service made up for it. We came in at lunch and had the Carne asada burrito lunch plate (no beans because I don't trust restaurant beans) and the stuffed chile with beef enchilada. The burrito was filling, looked fresh, and tortilla was toasted. The rice tasted and felt like it was just made. The stuffed Chile was amazing! Better than most we've had because it tasted fresh and had a delicious breading around the Chile that made it stand out. The beans from the Chile plate was surprisingly good; it didn't taste like it was microwaved or canned. Even the chips at the beginning of the meal was hot and crunchy with salsa that was maybe a medium spice.. The only thing I didn't like was the horchata. Very sweet and not authentic at all. Weekday lunch was worth it because each food item was a dollar or two less than dinner but still nice, filling portions. There was no wait, the drinks came out in maybe less than 2 minutes and the food took maybe 12 minutes.
