Greek Taverna Edgewater

The hospitality was great, staff attentive, and food was good. Met with family and friends and all enjoyed the settinginside and surrounding neighborhold.

We had a great Mother's day lunch for 7! The steaks were juicy and big, the seafood platter delicious, the shrimp special very tasty... just the taramosalata was not to our liking...will definitely come back for outdoor seating.

It was a Mother 's day celebration and I thought this will be a great selected restaurant for my family. The food that we like were not offered for Sunday such as 'seafood platter and dolma- the well-known regular Greek appetizer! We were surprised. Anyway, we ordered other food that were available for the day and all were fine. Well, while we were enjoying our meal, my son noticed one family came and asked the waiter ordered seafood platter . And they got it! I asked the waitress why our waiter didn 't advise us that we can asked for a request for seafood-platter ..The waitress said we were not regular customer and manager given her the approval to have it! WOW . Anyway, we let it go so our day will not ruin more specially it was a MOTHER 's Day!. Our waiter apologized later. This will be our first and last visit in this restaurant.

Excellent food. Small wine list by the bottle only but you can byob. Great service.

This wasn't the restaurant we originally had hoped for on a Valentine's day, however we made this reservation literally 10 mins prior and hoped for the best since it was my first time ever trying Greek food. My husband and I were seated right away. It was more of a casual restaurant than I thought and I wouldn't say it's a romantic restaurant at all. The service was okay, nothing spectacular since he didn't even share what the special was. I ordered the pork chop and my husband ordered something that had cheese, eggplants, ground beef mixed? And some kind of spinach pie as an appetizer. The food was horrible. I didn't like it at all. My pork chop was so dry it tasted and looked like it has been microwaved three times prior to being served to me. It had no taste, it was hard to chew and I told the server to take the dish away. My husband said he didn't like his food one bit but wanted to eat just to eat. The only thing that was good on our table was their complimentary bread and that was it. Never again I will go here. Oh, I received a free rose for Valentine's day. Well. Thanks for that I guess.
