Deck Eatery & Bar - DESERT SPRINGS

The steak I had was very average, it was over boiled. The Maischekartoffel-Hoch came best as a compliment on average. The meal of my wife was good, so I rated it average.

Search for Alice Springs Happy Hour with half price Expresso Martini's but still looking. What we found was a small selection of beers and standard wines. ordered the bread with Dukkah and heated olives that were excellent!! Place was empty when we arrived, but was almost full at the end of the Happy Hour (6pm) Only one employee so that things were busy shortly before the end of the Happy Hour. Enjoyed our time and saved several dollars.

They advertise a 'happy hour ' at the Deck bar in the lobby from 4 until 6, so duly we arrive for our pre dinner drinks. However, it appears they only want beer drinkers to get happy, as they only include XXXX and Furling beer in...the offer. Not to appear sexist, but I would imagine mostly men would take advantage of this. I 'm not happy, Jan...

This is the Doubletree by Hilton hotel bar, a nice casual but spacious area off entrance lobby, also with outdoor (and non smoking) area. No table service. All drinks and tapas style food is ordered at bar. At busy times, staffing levels not always up...to demand but always trying hard (please don't order cocktails when busy). Good range of drinks and wine plus a well put together tapas menu, which has enough to satisfy as a light meal. Has seating for couples through to small groups. Very much enjoyed several visits here pre dinner and for their tapas.

We dined here and loved the ambiance and menu. The view was stunning and the staff was very attentive.
