The Bakery Alice Springs

Been this place a few timesUsually very good, excellent danishes and pastries, however today decided to try something else and bought a piece of mud cake instead, big mistake!!The cake is dry and stale, not moist like a mud cake should be, not sweet nor flavorsome One advice for the baker/owner, stick with pastries which you excel.

The fabulous staff at the Bakery put together a bundle of goods for family in town. Staff went over and above and were very helpful.

Great pastries and coffee. Don't go late as they may be out of the best items. Well worth the visit.

Best vegetarian pies I have had with changing varieties to keep it fresh. Broccoli and blue cheese pie is deliciously addictive. In contrast, tried a jam donut which sweeted me out. Just too sweet. Needed serious toning down to hit bliss point. All up there's a good reason there is usually a line at this place! A must visit in Alice.

The coffee is good, the donuts are great. We had jam, salted caramel and lemon curd. I also had a veg pastie. Skip the commercial bakeries and go here, you will be glad you did. be early!
