Black Walnut Cafe - Colleyville

I had a family brunch at this restaurant, and I absolutely loved the brunch selection. The sorbet and bar area are delightful, creating a cozy atmosphere with friendly staff. The food was excellent, and the service was equally good. I especially enjoyed the Blushing Lady cocktail from the handcrafted menu—it's incredibly refreshing! I will definitely return to try their lunch and dinner menus.

I had an amazing meal! I couldn't finish all of my pancakes alongside the Avocado and Bacon Eggs Benedict I ordered, which came with delicious house potatoes. I'm really grateful that the kitchen was accommodating and cooked my eggs fried over hard since I don't like them runny. I once had a frustrating experience at a restaurant in Texas where someone insisted that Eggs Benedict could only be made one way. After being a chef for over 20 years, I was quite surprised to hear that. It's good to know that at Black Walnut Cafe, they know how to make it work. Thank you!

You approach the counter to place your order, then select a table and wait for your food in two spacious halls that feature plenty of tables and a central bar. I really like this concept; it creates a pleasant atmosphere that doesn't feel cramped like many other restaurants. The food is excellent, and the service is also commendable!

So, I was really excited and looking forward to trying this place because of the reviews and photos. However, we were pretty disappointed. I got the Lobster Benedict, the only thing I happened to take a picture of. The lobster was really over cooked, aswell as the eggs. They didn 't run at all when I opened them. The flavor was missing on all parts. The only thing I really had astrong flavor of was the green onions. I took a bite of my grandmas plate. It was the biscuit and gravy from her Texas Plate.That was the best thing I had. We also got our bar drinks, mimosa flight and **** Mary, 10 minutes after we had our food. Wespent $84 and I won 't go back. It was over priced and not worth it.

Fantastic restaurant! My family and I dined here, and the food was delicious and very satisfying. The service was excellent, and the cafe had a beautiful interior. One thing I would have liked was for the waitstaff to come to our table instead of us having to wait in line, but it wasn't a major issue. The food was truly great, and I highly recommend the chicken and waffles!
