Moon Dragon Chinese - Coffs Harbour

My wife and I had a delicious meal tonight at the Chinese restaurant Moon Dragon. Although we arrived quite late, we felt very welcome and made our food a special evening. My wife chose the beef with cashews and I chose the schezuan chili chicken. Meals were very tasty, with generous portions and all very cheap. The restaurant is licensed and cheap again. I am very pleased to pay for the chef's skills, but I respect restaurants that charge over the top for drinks when their only contribution is to remove a screw cap. Thank you to the owners of the moon dragon for being fair and not so exploit. In summary, I can highly recommend this restaurant for its great cuisine, wonderful service and modern furnishings for a perfect evening and break from your own kitchen Sorry for the less than professional photo. We couldn't wait before we broke in.

Food is great service was quick and friendly we were lucky had no booking but they managed to fit us in any way a mix of traditional Chinese and also others with a modern twist recommend

Pretty good Chinese. I lived in China, so I've had these dishes A LOT these aren't what I was expecting, well not 北边的菜 (Northern Style). Possibly Malaysian Chinese? I have NEVER seen peas, carrots corn in 麻婆豆腐 (Mapo Tofu)！真的吗？不行。Also the 小茴香牛羊肉 奇怪 (cumin lamb, was weird I was hoping for something like 羊肉串 lamb kebab style). All in all OK, 还行吧。 If you want the Chinese dishes ask for the green menu!

I never expected to find a restaurant of this quality in such a hidden spot. The food was absolutely top-notch. The chicken and water chestnut dumplings were heavenly. The sizzling beef with pepper sauce was impressively tender and packed with flavor. And the slow-cooked pork belly was exceptional—it set a new standard for similar dishes. I doubt I'll find a meal of this caliber anywhere else in the future. Kudos to the chefs at Moon Dragon; they're truly a gem in the culinary world.
