Eat Martin's (Food for the Soul)

Simple menu, but tasty, well thought out and nicely presented. A bit pricey, but then everything is in Darwin! Air con indoors.

We arrived and the young man behind the counter eventually deigned to take our order - at least we assumed that's what he was doing. He didn't actually speak a single word. When we asked if they had water (tap water) he glared meaningfully at the earthenware dispenser next to a stack of small glasses. Yes, they had water. Water which may have been sitting all night as it was only slightly below body temperature. I like mine cold but perhaps I'm fussy. Cutlery in holders on the table - obviously they don't have a dishwasher because some of it was less than clean.The food was okay - not wonderful, but okay. I don't mind my goats cheese pie re-heated, but the pastry does tend to be a bit chewy, and there was nothing very inspiring about the salad. All in all, I wouldn't bother again.

Thank goodness for google or I'd never have discovered this hidden treasure! A must do for everyone whether vegan, vegetarian, paleo or not! The menu is extensive, kombuchas, fresh juices, gluten free etc etc The two guys are friendly and great hosts. I highly recommend the sweet potato & kale patties. They came out presented beautifully with papads, lettuce leaves, spiralised beetroot, cucumber, quinoa salad on hummus. Divine! The tulsi ginger lemonade is delicious! Will definitely be back next time I'm in Darwin!

Darwin colleagues took me to the amazing little haven for vegos and vegans while I was on a work visit. Absolutely delicious and very generous meals - hot and cold. I had a scrumptious Indian inspired salad with lentils, beetroot, sweet potatoes and papadams - spicy, delicious and filling. They also serve fresh squeezed juices which go well with the foods. Such a treat! Nice outdoor table setting and atmosphere.

This is my second visit here and my family really like the food! There's something for everyone. Good quality food and the kids love the chocolate cake! Service is good too!
